*says black consumers*

First of all, it be your own people. Way too often we hear and see black consumers complain about doing business with black business owners. Not only do they complain, they expose them via social media exclaiming why they don't do business with "black entrepreneurs now". This behavior is toxic and no better than white supremacy and its time we talk about it. Listen in while the Ladies of HER Image dissect the real reason why black consumers have an issue with doing business with black entrepreneurs, what black entrepreneurs can do better about serving black consumers and elevating the ultimate mission of rebuilding black wall street and black unity.

Let's promote healthy dialogue to get to a resolution rather than tearing one another down.
Thank you so much for listening. I believe when it is our people we should encourage positive dialogue to conclude why that person chooses not to do business with black people so that we can get better as a whole. Oftentimes these people refuse to engage in conversation which is why they choose to go to social media rather than directly to that consumer. Also, as business owners we can do our best to make sure we provide superior service because our people will always hold us to a higher standard no matter what. Its unfortunate because many of us don't have the same resources and convenience as some of these bigger brands. But we must still try!
This was an excellent podcast with many great points! I will encourage people to listen. Personally I think a number of these posts bashing black businesses are from white supremacist trolls who are threatened by black business development. A question I have is how we can or should as a community deal with these types of posts? Depending on the severity, I have responded to say that I shop black owned all the time, and give them my website/blog (Shop With Leslie) that is designed for comparison shopping. Sometimes they respond favorably (with a like). But others are so toxic in their language I don't respond.
